4.3.24.9        Alarm State

Alarm State sets the state or value of a Discrete Tag that is considered abnormal or in Alarm.

Two-State Digital Tags

For Tags with Bit Length = 1 (i.e. Digital or Two State Tags), Only this State will be in alarm.

For example, in an 2-state Digital Tag with an alarm state of 0, only State 0 is alarm; State 1 is normal.

Three or more State Discrete Tags

For Tags with Bit Length >= 2 (i.e. Discrete or Multi-State Tags), any state Greater Than or Equal to the Alarm State will be in alarm. For example, in an 2-state Digital Tag with an alarm state of 0, only State 0 is alarm; State 1 is normal.

For example, in an 8-state Discrete Tag, an alarm state of 6, only State 6 is alarm; State 5 is normal; State 7 is also normal.

Range:                    0 to 7, depends on length, and number of states configured.
Field Type:            Analog
Tag fields:             .ALMST
